Explore the routeFour days from Cusco: ride out on horses that know this ground, then walk a while with a llama train through pasture and stone. The days are private in pace — not a coach tour, not a show. You travel with a local team, sleep in the high country, and come back to the city when the work is done.
Horseback
Shared plan: You will travel with other adventurers heading to the same destination.
Leave Cusco when you are ready for the altitude. Meet the horses, settle the tack, and ride out onto open ground. The first night is in the high country — a quiet bed after the first hours in the saddle.
A full day on horseback: valleys, ridgelines, and the pace the animals set. Lunch on the grass. No circuit of ruins — this is the country we actually ride.
Leave the saddle for a day on foot with a llama train. Pasture, stone, and the slower work of walking with animals that belong here. This is not a photo stop — it is a walk.
A last morning with the animals, then the road back to Cusco. We will not rush the goodbye to the horses, the llamas, or the ground.
